Our team has almost two decades of combined higher education web experience.  Individually we have presented at national conferences and are known as thought leaders in the higher education web space.  Combined we make a very respectable team of individuals with various skills.  Learn about our team and their experience.

Kyle James – Co-Founder

Kyle spent six years working at Wofford College in multiple jobs in Information Technology and Marketing, including school Webmaster.  At the start of 2008 he founded .eduGuru, an award winning higher education marketing blog.  He has presented at multiple national conferences on subjects ranging from email marketing to web analytics to search engine optimization. Kyle is very much a tech geek, but his biggest passion is helping people solve problems using technology.  He currently works at HubSpot, a Boston based Internet Marketing startup, where he is a manager of consulting services.

Michael Fienen – Chief Technology Officer

Michael has been at Pittsburg State University since the beginning of 2006 where he is currently the Director of Web Marketing.  He presented at multiple national conferences on web development and specifically the content management system dotCMS.  Michael is currently finishing up his first published book, dotCMS From the Ground Up.  He is also a regular contributor to .eduGuru, an award winning higher education marketing blog.  Miachel is very much a PHP/MySQL guy who spends much of his free time waste deep in software projects.

Nick Catto – Chief Information Officer

Nick has been at USC Upstate since the beginning of 2006 where he is currently the main Web Developer on campus.  For over six years now Nick has also operated his own web development and consulting business, MrCatto.com (http://mrcatto.com/).  Nick has presented on web design at conferences in both the UK and America.  Nick has always been fascinated with all kinds of technologies and considers himself a “jack of all trades, master of none.”  He has a very sharp eye for design and is a very accomplished web designer.

Todd James – Chief Financial Officer

Todd graduated from Coker College with a bachelor’s in Accounting and Business Administration/Management. He has over four years of experience in outside sales and account management.  This experience was compiled while working with accounting firms, financial institutions and manufacturers. He currently is an operations coordinator for an electric vehicle company.  This company has ranked as one of South Carolina’s fastest growing companies the last few years. Todd’s business background transforms nuCloud’s technical expertise into a solid business strategy.  He currently resides in South Carolina with his wife and son.
